Quite a vast enjoyable Y. Has an indoor & outdoors pools, sauna, steam room (that's still out of order), hot tub, free weights, machine weights, aerobics rooms, running tracks, basket ball, gymnasium, treadmills, physical therapy opition,
Walking trail, other thing's and many programs. It's also very alive!!!
It also has plenty of parking.
My daughter and I love this YMCA. This is her favorite YMCA. Not to far from Walpole, Dover , Westwood, and Bridgewater. The staff are kind and they have many programs available for children. I always enjoy using the pool there and it is always available based on the schedule. The basketball court is accessible but make sure you call in advance or check the schedule because they do run different activities in there. The Basketball court is typically open for half court.
Being 72 and somewhat handicapped after several leg and spine surgeries this facility is ideal. All on one floor for me to use shallow half of the pool for walking, relaxing in the large hot tub etc. The exercise / weight machine area is amazing in the variety of opportunities to work and strengthen my legs. There is always a staff member doing the sanitary wipe-down of the machines if a member forgets or choses not to do so. For that matter, the cleaning staff keeps the entire building and grounds spotless and in order. Very nice compared to other gym facilities I have used in the past. A young woman at the front desk has taken the time to learn and address me by name which is a very nice touch. My wife and I enjoy visiting 3-4 times per week.
My son loved the Y this summer. We loved the structure of it and the safety of drop off and pickup in comparison to other camps we have been at. He was active but felt safe and love that he had a ton of friends from town and school there. He will be back!
The workout machines are state of the art, the pool area is great, and the class schedules generally don't interfere with the pool hours. This is also a great family gym with an outdoor pool and park, a daycare and a playground. I love this place.
They change their pool schedules CONSTANTLY. Often times you go there and find out their swimming pool/splash park is closed even though their staff confirmed the day before that it would be open. Water in family swimming pool is always super cold in winter. Used to be a good place to visit with children but not any more.
I love taking yoga classes with Lisa B. at the North Attleboro YMCA and the Foxboro YMCA. She is an amazing teacher who always gives modifications to fit every student's specific needs. Lisa B. also teaches us about the positive reflections of yoga, such as 'being good to yourself.'
Love my new gym, very helpful staff. Very clean with a good atmosphere. The pool, sauna and hot tub are just what you need after a workout. Highly recommended.
